The Department of Employment and Economic Development provides the following services: Mature Staffing Service, Senior AIDES, and important economic development programs for the region. The Mature Staffing Service offers governmental entities and public employers the opportunity to draw upon the Commission's expertise in placing professional, qualified job seekers in their respective organizations. The Senior AIDES service affords low-income, mature individuals the opportunity to seek part-time employment with various public and private entities throughout the region. The department's economic development services are provided in three areas:

• An annual Job Fair where employers from the public, private and non-profit sectors can meet with prospective employees in a central setting
  
  
• SARPC's participation in Statewide and regional work force development initiatives
  
  
• The Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) program
